Training The Echo
In our exploration of Artificial Intelligence, we must begin by discarding the myth of the “digital mind.”
AI functions as a sophisticated “Echo”—a reflection of a vast architecture of human decisions, biases, and structural choices.
The core mission of the AI pipeline is a radical feat of translation: converting the fluid, often messy nuance of human thought into the cold, immutable precision of mathematics.
This course traces the AI pipeline from the fragmentation of language (tokens) to the geometric mapping of meaning (vectors), the engineering of focus (attention), and the final conditioning of behavior (fine-tuning and prompting).

What This Course Covers
Every AI output travels through a pipeline of human decisions — tokenisation, vector mapping, attention weighting, fine-tuning, and system prompts. Each layer introduces usage & governance risk. Each layer encodes human values, biases, and blind spots. This course deconstructs that pipeline, layer by layer, so you can understand what’s actually happening inside the systems you & the organisations around you deploy.
You’ll learn the technical architecture of large language models — understanding how these systems work, and whose choices shaped them, where the vulnerabilities live, and what questions to ask.
